Hello and welcome!
A little about me..

14 19.1.24.jpg

I am Dr Elizabeth McLean (most know me as Liz), a Registered Music Therapist (RMT, PhD) and mother of three, living and working on Wadawurrung Country.

I have worked as a music therapist for over 15 years across various settings and contexts, specifically focusing my clinical work and research on supporting infants, parents and families. I am deeply passionate about creating opportunities for vital early musical connections between infants and their care-givers, and  advocating for the powerful and accessible medium of music to build communities of support for new mother's and families to reclaim their power and thrive.

In navigating my own matrescence (transition to motherhood) over the last seven years and realising just how enormous and at times, deeply challenging, becoming a parent can be, I found myself wanting to work within the perinatal space. My passion continued to grow, as did my commitment to partnering with new and seasoned parents and their baby's, expecting parents and motherhood and early parenting support professionals.

I work in a collaborative, gentle, resource-oriented and inclusive way to ensure that you feel well supported and connected to engage in therapy together. I utilise a range of creative therapy modalities and approaches, grounded in developmental, infant mental health and motherhood theories, and counselling and coaching skills to support you and your family to reclaim your power and thrive in your wellbeing.

I look forward to connecting with you.
